Identifying Brass Chamberstick

Hello All,
I'm new to the board so forgive if I used the wrong name, but I think that's what it's called. I got this with a bunch of other items atagged a flea market the other day. It looks to be Dutch from my research, but im a little curious as to the design and what seems to be letters or numbers...Does this look familiar to anyone.? And does it have any value or just keep it as a nostalgic item...Keep in mind I paid $1.00 so I guess I can't loose too much...lol

You will have to resize them. There are some directions in another area. I will post a link for you once I find it.

If you don't have photoshop or some other editing app. You can upload them to a free photobucket account and that will resize then for you and you can post the direct links here using that little envelope looking button above.

Great. Sorry, I should have mentioned this before you tried. Next time, click on the button "full size" some people use phones and have trouble with those small thumbnail links.

 

I can't help with this one but someone will come along. People on this board are from all over the world and some may not see it until tomorrow so be patient.

The writing says "ANNO 1766", but I have to leave it to others to decide if it is really that old...

Now that you pointed it out, I see the writing.

 

I just looked up the name "Anno" and it is a Hebrew name....good eye...

 

I think it's Latin for "year" or the "year of our Lord".

 

Yes, it is Latin and means "in the year 1766"

 

many cultures use the 6 pointed star....i doubt that's hebrew.
