What's the name of the style/technique on this vase (candlestick?) or it's age ?

This 7" piece (I assume is a bud vase but I'm not certain) has 3 little scenes on the body & the base, while the neck is worked with 3 variations on a design.
It looks like a lot of work went into it. I can find no mark.

    It is called repoussé.
I agree it is a fascinating piece. At first glance it looks Indian (India). But then there is that recurring windmill, the buildings, the men and the boat. Yes, fascinating.

    A tiny bit of info:
"From the research I have found, the Barbour Bros. Company was started in Hartford, CT around 1881. Around 1890, the name of the company changed to Barbour Silver Company."

Wow Komo, I've never seen anything like it!
They seem to call it Dutch style, but no Dutch person would ever recognize it. This one certainly didn't.

It looks like copper plated "white " metal, the base is chased or die stamped. It appears to be 4 pieces soldered together. Can't tell if it is repousse without a lite photo of the interior.

I've tried to photo-peek as far down into it as possible. The opening is pretty small.

    E. G. Webster and Son also made a large quantity of silverplated stuff in Dutch themes in the 1920's. I can't count the number of times I've had to disabuse someone on eBay of the thought that their "Dutch silver" was actually made in the US.

There's a definite chip on the rim of the base. 20170518_155659.jpg

That particular image is not on Tom's (although I did get confused for a second when I saw it above, but that was when Komo posted an example of a Barbour vase.)

But the scrolling around the image is certainly very similar if not exact. Need side by side pictures from the exact same angle to compare.
