Help with coin

I have a 1878 morgan silver dollar. The more I reseach the more confused I get. I hope some one here can help me pin point exactly what I have. I know it is an 1878, 7 tail feather, reverse of 1878, bent arrow. I found there is more veriations of this coin in the Eagles chest, double legs, lines through legs. I found that on pcgs.com but they don't described what is what. I know you probably can't see everything in my pictures, but if you know what to look for I will take better pictures. I do have access to some pretty awesome vision equipment since I am a CMM programmer. View attachment 71598 View attachment 71599

 

Pictures showing correct color and a bit closer would help, Looks a bit odd. There are a lot of fakes coming out of china. Weight should be 26.73 grams with a diameter of 38.1 mm. These go for 25 ++ depending on condition

 

Yeah, the color came out looking gold but the coin is silver. I am currently going through the list of varieties on pcgs.com. there is more than I thought so I will narrow it down and be back to update my description and questions. Thanks for the reply.

 

The rabbit hole is deeper than I thought. I have been looking deeper and I found is that it is a 7 tail feather,reverse of 1978, flatbreast, single legs, with an M (VAM 100 incuse M) but it seems other VAM's also have the M. I am not sure about the extra tallons, and lines through legs.I went through the list of things to look for and I don't see any triple stars or double letters ect.

 

I think I have it pretty well figured out. With so many different veriations you would think there would be different prices.
