So sorry I messed that up hugely. I lost the text somehow ! (annoying...)
I found exactly one tray for this company and it isn't mine.
It's the first one shown, in great shape & sold for a lot of money.

Mine is dinged, OK graphically, but I have no idea how to value something I can't find examples of.

In teeny tiny print beneath "It Has No Equal" is the following -
"Chas W Shonk Co Litho Chicago C954"

I did find this re: date -

"In 1901 the American Can Company located in Manhattan, NY acquired the Chas W. Shonk Company and renamed it as the Shonk Work in 1906 and operated the company till they closed in 1973."

In teeny tiny print beneath "It Has No Equal" is the following -
"Chas W Shonk Co Litho Chicago C954"

So maybe it's pre-1906. And, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.
What a buyer is willing to pay is the value but, if it's some super rarity, I'd prefer not to give it away.

Folks out there are asking some crazy prices for stuff and I don't like the deception even a mostly uninformed person like me can see going on. That's why I like to know about these things before I try and dispose of them at what I hope are fair and competitive prices.

As always, any help is appreciated !
    Sorry again for messing up.

Maybe it was a cap for a milk bottle ? Like a promotional thing?

It's 4 3/8" diameter. I forgot the size on my text redo. Sorry about that. I have had other small tip trays the same size. But I suspect they gave these away, so it was very much a promotional thing I think.

I've narrowed the date of manufacture down.
    Chas W Shonk - 1891 - 1906
    (taken over, plant renamed )
Borden's Condensed Milk Co New York
    1899-1919
    So, it's between 1899-1906.
But where are any other examples, say, even poor ones, of the version sold at auction? Or mine? Or any others?
Maybe they only commissioned two versions. But still, some others must be out there.
