Seeking info and help on a Dresden Figurine

    I recently acquired this lovely little figurine.

    The bottom is marked "Dresden," "Foreign," and what appears to be a makers mark.

    Also there is an incuse number which seems to read M10003 and a small mark inside the lower rim reads M2.

    Can anyone help me ID and value this piece?

    Not a figurine person myself, but from what I have learned here, seeing "Foreign" on a piece from Germany means post WWI because of the bad blood created by the war.

    Yep. Carl Thieme. Usually see "Foreign" mark after WW2.

    Yes, well spotted. There is a small chip on the edge of the coat. Does that hurt the value substantially?

    So, judging by the set for sale (even if the breeches are a different pattern in the offered set) for $125, do you think it'd be fair to value my piece at about $50?
