1770's silver creamer?

Now that you've cleaned it, I wonder whether there are any other marks you can see, no matter how faint?

 

Should date from 1740 into 1756, the London leopard's head and lion passant cartouches in that period were distinctive, and even worn and partially obscured, the marks on this piece appear to be those.

Wow, Cheryl! Thanks for sharing this. That's exactly what the cleaned up version looks like now (except the marks).

 

I can see that my aunt apparently lightly scratched her initials in it--CP--that you may be able to see in the new photos I'm going to upload.

 

This photo (reflecting pictures on the wall along with my fingers/phone) should give you an idea of the distance between the two marks (though it has been zoomed up). The C P on the right is where my aunt (apparently) scratched her initials, which wasn't really evident before I cleaned it up.
