Tobacco Jar

I have an old tobacco jar - Sunny Bank Chicago from;
Spaulding & Merrick was a wholesale tobacco company formed by Samuel Gray Spaulding and Levi Merrick in 1865. The company was eventually merged with the American Tobacco Company in 1904.
I cannot find any further information on it and would like to know the value of it.

That's it!! Mine has no damage and the cork!! Thank you!! Didn't think of eBay, haven't used it in years.
I once considered loaning it to a heritage museum.

 

We would still like to see yours. Where does the cork go?

 

In the small hole in the bottom.

 

I thought that had to be it. But then most of the cork is inside the jar? What function does that corked hole serve? Anyone know?

Sorry it took me a while, needed Hubby to help me with making pics smaller
