Signed vintage pendant... Sun God... origin?

Hi . This pendant came from my Great Uncle in the 70s, if memory serves me correctly. It had a long chain that has been lost.

Pretty sure it's not silver (the shiny metal has rubbed off in places and is dark underneath, and it doesn't tarnish). It has some weight to it. Measures 6cm long, 3cm across the 'sun' and 1.5cm across the green centre. The green face feels like plastic (warm to touch).

It reminds me of an Inca/Aztec design.

There's a mark on the back which is hard to photograph, so I've sketched it out . I'm hoping someone might recognise the style or the mark, or have a better idea of age. Thanks!

 

Given figure in grass skirt, think it's meant to be more tiki than tribal.

Polynesian god face.

Those textures backs are usually a bit later than the 70s, but hey. I can't find an example, but I'm wondering if it's Tortolani.

Thanks for this . Polynesia... I see some similarity using image searches. I can't imagine how my Uncle obtained this. I'm pretty sure it's 70s in date, although possibly the last half of the decade if that makes any difference?

 

Not really - albeit the colour in the centre is a bit more late 70s than early, from remembering what I wore then!
