Metal framed tiny painting.....

    Yet another of my folks .....things !

    Could be spelter.....magnet sticks to it like glue.....
    it's 12 x 9 inches at it's farthest points....and the painting is acrylic...on masonite...i believe....

    Any ideas on age ......or anything else for that matter ???

    I've seen a lot of these but no real idea. I'd guess 40s maybe.

    Ooooopsy.......well now I'm feeling a little embarrassed ........
    I didn't do my due dilly -gents !!

    19C French Gilt Metal Photo Frames by Beatrice from circa 1890.

    Stamped “Beatrice” and Serial Number ‘ 1009P’.

    Hinged stand to the rear……..beautifully cast in floral designs with large flower on the top and clam shaped petal to the center base.

    From the Art Nouveau period !!

    RARE AND HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE !!!

    $200...more or less....( minus the art work ! )
    The hinged stand on mine has been cut off......

    $200? I should take more care of my stuff! I have thrown away many similar frames. Maybe one of them could had bought me a new bike which I desperately need.
