Johnny, I can't resist those old laquer jewelry boxes.... I have a big black one inlaid with abalone in my curio cabinet. My grandmother had one, and I'm always drawn to them.

Today I found this pair of crystal ram's head statues/bookends - from a quick internet search - supposedly by Paden City. For 5 a piece I had to have them. :)

My dad was ASME - American Society of Metallurgical Engineers. The discipline is called Materials Science these days. It could be Mechanical as easily as not however.

I found numb(er) legs. (freakin' MS rides as usual) Also a new pair of pants instead of anything for Ebay. Friday is the antique sale, so I'll go hunt some sleepers then.

just in case you are searching for this or looking for keywords, it is probably more of a flight bag or tote than a handbag or purse

I suspect that someone added the faux pearls. I have seen that type of edging a gaziillion times - but never with pearls.
I bet it looks ten times better without them.

I seen this black vase and picked it up to find it was very heavy looked at the bottom and seen paint was missing and the pinwheel pattern on it. then the tulip pattern at the top so for a buck, i bought it and am going to strip the paint off it . It is 7 inches high and 7 inches wide at middle and weights 2 lbs. DSC09604.JPG DSC09606.JPG DSC09607.JPG
