Hello everyone, I am new here and need some help please. I am in the process of having a garage/moving sale and while I am getting things set up I had pulled out this table that i have kinda used as a second desk just to put sale items on. A gentleman stopped by while I was setting up and saw the table and was trying to get me to sell it to him and he was offering me $100 for it. Before I sell it am I missing something? Is it really worth $100 or possibly more due to how he was pressuring me to sell it to him before I actually have the sale this Saturday? The table measures 60 inches wide 30 inches deep and 29 inches high. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated and thank you all. It is industrial/commercial furniture which has a following these days. Value is really dependent on where you are but in my neck of the woods (semi-rural Midwest), $100.00 would be a more than fair offer. Despite its great condition, I doubt I could get more than $150.00 for it at full retail. Now, in a big city, I could see this kind of thing going for more (double? triple?).

Thanks for the reply, I am in the Charlotte NC area. Any idea on the age of this table?

Found this older one that sold for $700.00 for pick up only in Athens, GA. Really kind of surprised at the high price but maybe the connection to U of GA had something to do with it. It also has the black rubberized top which is more desirable.

This one is more similar to yours and sold for under $150.00 on a best offer in Warrenville, IL (closer to my neck of the woods), It shows it sold for $150.00 but that was asking price and a best offer at a lower price was accepted.

There was another similar one that sold for $300.00 with free shipping. I imagine shipping could be $100.00 or more on this depending on where to and how it is being shipped.

I imagine you could do better in Charlotte than I can here. Your desk design dates to the 50s but was probably made with little changes for 30-40 years. The green color on yours makes me think 60s. The color might make yours more desirable since we mostly see grey. The inset legs are also different than we usually see. Visually, it is more interesting but could see how some might prefer the legs at the corners for functionality.

I see a McCoy flower pot under your table. Does it have a big chip? If not, there is a little value there. Just sold a really tiny one like this for $7.50. If in good condition, I would want $15.00-$20.00 for one that size.

    Hi Brad,
When i had my last yard sale I had 5 of those and could not sell them for 25¢ apiece. They were in mint condition, 4 of them were pink one was yellow. I kept the aqua one which was 10" high because I had a plant in it.

The green piece would make a great desk in a modern apartment; that's what it was designed for in the first place from the look of things.

Thanks for the information, I may just put it on ebay and only offer local pick up or put it on craigslist as I really do not want to ship it. Thanks again for the help!

The little flower pot does have a chip, I'm not really sure how that happened?

Age. Other flower pots. Cats? Kids. Dogs. The usual run of clumsiness from someone somewhere along the line. It's in the nature of pottery to chip.
