Got this water color which I believed to be British?
The way its painted it looks to me it looks like it could have potential. Tried all week long to identify the signature but no luck yet. Already been helped so much and so quick on this website that I think we can solve it here.

It will be a difficult one but I have hope. It is painted on what feels like hard card board. I removed it from the frame to look for clues but no success. When I removed it from the frame I found out that it is also sealed on the mat itself and don't want to remove this as it looks clued to it.

I'm saying its maybe British but I'm not 100% sure of this. Thought so because the back had a label of a framer located in the UK. But I know this doesn't mean anything, it could also be a artist from a other country and it was framed in the UK.

I know that there are a few people here that have knowledge of regional costumes. Maybe we can tell from the costumes she's wearing which country it is and a rough period when it was painted.

Yes it one of them signatures!! My hope know is that somebody seen similar works before or maybe already has knowledge of this artist.

Looks like 1920s chocolate box style to me. A pretty pastoral reaction to the First World War. Decoratively popular up to WWII.

Interesting observation! Yes indeed, it does look chocolate box style. Its one of them paintings that you think you've seen before somewhere but can't place it. Maybe that was the reason why I was attracted to it :).

Got a bit of the style used by Renoir and other artist from that period. Not that is it is a Renoir off course. Could it maybe be a French artist or painted in France? The Hat or in French ''Coiffe de Paysanne'' looks more French than English to me

Country maid. Don't think that's a regional costume, more of a period one. And vaguely late-Georgian. (Think Poldark.) But does look like a 1920s interpretation.

I also believe it to be mid 1910 to mid 20s. could be wrong but the stylw suggest that time period yes

It's painted on hard cardboard. Why do artits sign like this? A artist should know how important a signature is!
