It's great to have the community's seal of approval. Think if I had not bought it I would have suffered non-buyer's remorse. :)

There is an old saying, that the only things you really regret are those things that you do not buy. ;) :playful::playful::playful: :D:D:D

It was more like a gift. But hey, if they're giving it away, I'll be happy to take it.

What do we think about size & shape? Powder jar? Or too large at 5 inches across? I can imagine it with a big down powder puff. I can imagine a whole vanity set. In my dreams.

    Look it all over..........carefully........

It HAS to have the name Bronwen on it somewhere!

What a beauty to add to your already beautiful cameo collection(s).

It is stunning, Bronwen, and true Art Nouveau. I applaud you for listening to that devil on your shoulder, in this case he knew best.:joyful:

It is a lovely piece, I sold a vase years ago, for a good price - rarely keep breakables with much value, too clumsy, metal survives so much better in my household...

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Yes, it is lovely! And I'm glad the maker was identified so quickly.

I can't see them without thinking of this:

Actually, I love that set. Iced tea? Mint juleps? If money, space & sense allowed, I'd take it.

Much value? Are you telling me I should take very good care of this one? I can't turn up another (maybe INH will) on the Internet. No plans to let it go again any time soon. More for inventory purposes, how should I describe it? Could it be a powder jar? Or just a trinket box? Like so many cameos, she looks to me like she could use a gentle cleaning. Any risk in this?

Cheryl is such a marvel & a treasure for the site. I was expecting the usual bandying around we so often do. And of course I'm tickled with the outcome.

Wonder if Rescue Kitty is their first cat. Bet the dog figurines go first.

I tend to do botanical names, 'cos popular ones get attributed to multiple species. ;)

I nearly lunged at it when I first saw it, but then tried to pretend I was a grownup, making well considered decisions about any new acquisitions. It didn't take much to push me off that perch. Absolutely no regrets, that's for sure. :)
