I got this old cast iron lid with other old things today. I can't find this maker online, maybe someone else's computer is smarter than mine, lol.

    Thanks for looking.

It's actually called a doufeu pot - the dots collect the condensed steam and drop it back ontop of the meat in the bottom of the pot to keep it self basted.
LeCrueset has a new version of that old style!!

  11. I've got something similar. If I remember correctly mine is a Wagner Drip Drop Roaster. Probably all the old cast iron pot makers had one in their line.

Hi Billy, thanks! Didn't realize you had a cast iron pan to go with the lid! I have some antique cast iron pots, but at least one needs a lid....not sure it's the right size anyway. Think the pot I'm thinking of is about 12". Mine used to hang on a crane in an antique fireplace.....Thanks again!!

  17. Hi Billy...sorry to have taken so long to get back to your question.

I'm thinking mine is maybe from the first quarter of the last century. It's a bail handle 'dutch oven' type of pot, and still has the inner trivet. No cooking with it these days, but it looks good on display. :)
