Searched for hours, but still can't identify this piece of Carnival Glass

So I Googled everything I could think of and ultimately found people calling this pattern "Cabbage Rose". The only similar pieces I found are completely translucent.
    Example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FENTON-Dust...-Fairy-Lamp-Shade-LIGHT-FIXTURE-/132047832775

However I did find ONE piece that was actually opaque/opal colored.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/FENTON-CABBAGE-ROSE-Rosalene-Pink-Fairy-Lamp-Globe-Candle-Lamp-TOP-Shade-RARE/302229836070?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIC.MBE&ao=1&asc=41375&meid=6236eea39d94452fac5ccc3c4ea7624a&pid=100011&rk=3&rkt=11&sd=331449532336

I don't believe this person knows what they have, however. I've seen people claiming this pattern was reprinted in 1983, but have found no source aside from their ebay listing. I scoured the DDOTY website and found no "cabbage rose" pattern. Some eBay listings have called it a Jeannette design, others call it Fenton. And I even found one article on SaltyComments that cited a design from Central Glass Co in 1873 called "Cabbage Rose" but I of course find this highly unlikely.

From what others are saying it may be the top to a Fairy Lamp, but I haven't seen any bottom of it. I've seen bowls in this color and design.

What I'm looking for is any verification that Cabbage Rose is a Fenton pattern, and what dates they may have produced Fairy Lamps. I'm also wondering if there's anything special about the way mine is crimped, since it's the only example I could find online with the three lipped edges in any style. Or, I'd just like to know if it's a recently made replication.

Thank you! This has been driving me absolutely nuts, I've never had so much trouble identifying a piece!

Update: Found this vase with the same motif and similar color, but different shape, with a Fenton sticker on it.

I would say your piece is Fenton. Fenton made this Rose pattern for many years in many different colors. I believe that they made it from the 1960's throught the 1980's. The pre 1972 pieces will not be signed.

And yes this pattern was also made by Central Glas in the 1870's. Of course yours in not from them.

here is a link that may help you search for yours.

Thanks for the info on dates. It isn't signed. Any comment on the odd shape of it, or does it just mean this it was crimped by hand?

It is just a crimped pie crust edge lamp shade, fairly standard Fenton piece I believe. You may want to check for a signature again, they can be tough to see and would probably be small an inside an oval.

No logo to be found. Should I assume it's from the 60's then?

    No
I don't think that opalescent color was done in the 60s.
Double check for a mark. They started marking in the 1970s. I think that color is more like the 80s.
That is only my opinion. Not an expert in Fenton.

Found a picture of the lamp it was supposed to go on.
The shade may not have been marked. The bottom may have had the marking on it.
It was listed as a fairly lamp.

Ahh I didn't think of the mark being on the missing piece. Do you have a link to the complete lamp?

Here's something similar except that the top treatment is a little different. Someone on etsy called this "Home Interiors". Your shade looks like Fenton but I couldn't find the entire lamp. Fenton called this pattern "Rose" and made it in many many pieces during the 1980s and later. Many items during the QVC years.

Fenton -- that is the same one that I linked to but mine has better photos. Also, it's the one that the Etsy seller called "Home Interiors". There is a difference in the glass at the top of the shade. The OP's has a scalloped edge (and is prettier) but the linked ones are plain. Does that make a difference? Anyway, that's why I thought that OP's is Fenton, but the others? Talk about ugly! IMHO at least. And I've never seen Fenton do those inserts. Would Home Interiors have bought the glass parts from Fenton and assembled the ugly lamp and added the other stuff?

They could have. Fenton did a lot of selling glass lamp parts and other Co.'s put them together.----The old Fenton glass factory was sold to the school district and a New School will be built there. Very sad.

Agreed, would seem to fall under opalescent.
