Meanwhile, I've been getting outbid; we MAY be getting some thrifts open on Wednesday but I'm not keeping my fingers crossed. I'm going to hit the next town over on Thursday and see if I luck out. If all else fails I can always gas up the car.

Tomorrow May 20th is CT's partial reopening...i was just googling the big thrifts here in CT to see what might be open....Goodwills near me (fairfield county...close to NYC) are a 'no'...but it looks like some Sally's in Central Ct will be open. That's fine...i'll stay home.

I just Googled the 3 GW's closest to me & they are open. So I am assuming that means all of them are open here in SC. I did notice that they are open from 10:00 to 7:00. I think it use to be 9:00 to 9:00 before all this happened.

So far I have resisted the temptation to go to any of them. :angelic::angelic::angelic: ;) :p:p:p:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: :hilarious::hilarious:

Well since I do not eat any form or kind of mushroom I would know if they were tasty or not.

Oyster mushroom seasoned and baked in oven. Crispy edges and meaty center make these the best vegan ...
    Ingredients
    • 1 pound (450g) oyster mushrooms
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon rosemary leaves
Personally......I pan fry mine in butter....with garlic.....
    De Yum Licious !!!!!

Me too. One of the Sallys isn't horribly far from me, I've been there, but with the MS attacking do I really want to drive that far? I am thinking of driving past the Ill Will around the corner and see if they actually open. I think the ReStore might; they had cars outside today and the gate open. Closed sign on the gate, but those cars give me hope.

And for the first time in weeks I didn't wear gloves into the grocery store. I did however come home and take a shower.

    Hi,
Love love love mushrooms. Mostly to eat but since I moved to the shore I have one every year that I sell. It grows huge but looks like a giant brain lobed monster. I sold the first one to a Japanese man who spoke no English but gave me 25 dollars for it. Every year since he has sent his partner to look for it. Some years it is small and only worth 5 bucks. Last year he paid me 50 dollars for it. Some one ID'd for me here on the board and said it was growing because the pine tree was dying. Well the tree is still alive. I wish I knew a way to multiply it but it just forms a mass. One year it never grew at all.

I will always try to get whatever I am ordering made without mushrooms, but I have been known to flip them onto the DH's plate when they appear.:happy:

I use to do the same thing growing up. I detest things like kidney beans & Lima beans. Its a texture thing.:rolleyes::rolleyes: Anyway. I always sat next to my big sister Kathy when my Mother would make Chili or vegetable soup. She loved both so I just flipped them into her bowl & everybody was happy. :D:D:D

Now I just don't eat Chili & I make my vegetable soup without the Lima beans. :p:p :smug::smug::smug::smug::smug: :hilarious::hilarious:

Peggy, I've always HATED lima beans, kidney beans, etc - yes, it's the texture!

I didn't have a sister who'd take them, but we DID have Greta, a big German shepherd. I'd flip the beans, one at a time, with my thumb, and Greta would SNAP! and catch them right out of the air. (Nowadays, I just leave them in a little pile on the side of my plate...)
