Is that a Packard I see before me? :) I like her dress too, but I've hung with one too many gas and oil guys.

Evelyb, I don't know! (I figured that someone here would tell me!)

I did post a picture of what I know was a Packard (newer than this) about 3 pages back in this thread...

The Mrs. asked me if I had any old double edge razors kicking round (I did) I guess they are making a comeback and she wants to use them. A quick Ebay search and I came across this for her. I probably overpaid, but it looks to be closer to new than used and beat up.

@aaroncab, please start a separate thread regarding questions about the chest you got. (Maybe under the "Furniture" or "Tribal Arts" forum?) We try to keep the "Finds" thread for just posting finds, quickly moving on to the next "Find" etc. You will get many more eyes on this if you do.

BTW, I think it is an interesting piece. (I wonder if some kind of dowry chest?) :)

Desperate, I had one of those - it was even the same baby blue color!

That was back when I was a young girl, just starting to shave my legs. I hacked myself up pretty well with that darned thing! (Think: a 1" wide strip, right up the shin bone - more than once!)

My Mom got me a ladies' electric soon thereafter.

I can still hack myself with my Venus razor but I still distinctly remember hacking myself right above my ankle multiple times when I first started shaving when I was about 13.:eek::eek::p:p:p

Today I found warm weather ...and it's ensuing MS attack. Dagnabbit. Today's haul from the Ill Will is...greeting card envelopes. I make cards, so they're useful. They brought out a fresh tray of jewelry while I was there, but it was all NEW. (sigh)

I'll take any and all, early and late. Today I got cheap latte from Dunkin (had a coupon) which improved my outlook a fair bit.

So ladies, do you shave with or against the grain/hair growth? Saw a commercial with Dad teaching daughter to shave with the hair growth. Read that is better than vice versa, at least on the first pass.

I tried it and got a real nice cut, hadn't cut myself shaving in years!

Sorry, just had to insert this here!
