komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    Any and all comments welcomed.....
    It's in Montreal.....I grew up with it so...late 50's early 60's......or before ....
I know it's the dreaded brown furniture......but it's well made middle of the road...
The open drawer you see folds down to reveal a leather padded writing table , with hollows, drawers ans little cabinets.
Any suggestions on value would be welcomed....as it's likely to be shipped down to the Boston area.......so...US customs will want a fair market $$$.

Thank you all so much !! :):)

I do not think it is valuable enough to be subject to any tax and I think it is possible that it would be exempt anyway as part of your personal effects, goods and chattels if you were relocating to USA.

Here in the Midwest, you might see this as low as $350.00 or as high as $1,200.00, depending on venue. I am sure that some dealers might try for even more depending on clientele.

NOT at all relevant, but "we" would have called that a (glazed) bookcase - had a similar in the library - no need for a desk in the dining room?

It's my folks, & will be shipped down to the Boston area , to my daughter....who has lusted after it for years.

It's a shame that it has good value...but sells for so little.....but daughter is not so dumb, saying if i sold it here and gave her the money for it....she could never use that to buy an equal......that also is a family piece !!!
