    Combining a rattan or wicker rim with a pottery bowl, is a technique commonly found in Indonesian pottery from Lombok, and not very many other places.

    However, when I look at the symbol, I see a stylized image of a canoe, similar to a traditional Yami boat from Orchid Island, off the coast of Taiwan...for what that's worth!

    Not a traditional form that I am familiar with. To me, it looks artisan/artist/home decor style.
