I picked these 2 glass pieces up at the flea market earlier this morning and don't quite know what they are. Too big to be salts, maybe too small to be piano insulators. They have the Hazel-Atlas makers mark inside the bowl area, bottoms are flat with a round circle like a pontil mark.
    2 3/8" bottom width, 2 1/8" top width, 1 5/8" bowl width that is 1/2"deep, and 5/8" overall height.

For furniture legs? My dad used to have these under all the legs to protect the carpet...

    Hi,
They were used to protect the carpet from stains from the wooden legs of furniture
and the iron buttons on the bottom. This was before houses were air conditioned and the humidity levels got worse in the summer.

i would suspect ..made of glass ,not for furniture they would break ,all the furniture ones i have ,and have seen , are plastic and rubber and have some sort of felt . Maybe for something lighter .

    Hi,
They came in three sizes that I know of and colors from brown to light blue and green as well as clear. They were made by several glass companies but I think Hazel Atlas marked all of theirs.

They were made of glass too. I posted a link to the Hazel Atlas ones.

If you only have two, they'll do nicely as tealight holders.

    Say WHAT ?
Terry called you a dwarf...& you didn't seem to mind.....no protest.....U just asked him how tall he was...no ire, no indignation !

I thought that was a slur....& I had your back with my comment on your ' stature' as a man not being related to your size ......but I didn't want to jump in cuz no one else seemed to be upset ....& I though to myself that no one wants to see the Komo vs Terry drama , again.

Then it was you yourself who volunteered your 5'2 , 120 pound size & how you should have been a jockey......so I had every right to think you brushed it off & quip that you were not heavy enough to be worried about sitting on a chair & breaking a glass furniture leg coaster....that's MEANT to be placed under a chair leg !

I was being humorous , to wit there is a flurry of smiling faces with my comment , & had no reason to believe that I was being offensive in any way .

I didn't call you fat, I didn't call you skinny ...I didn't call you any damn thing at all !!

If for any reason you think I have insulted you, or been rude to you ...then truly ...I offer a humble apology .....

But I never called you names .....& my comment in defense of you , after you were called a dwarf .....stands as a just and honest retort.

Now....the next time someone calls you a dwarf , & there ain't 20 smiley faces with it , and you don't do squat to get all up in their face & shout them down about it for all here to see......
don't expect Komo to have your back !
    not ever again..................
