    Definitely Fallow deer. Cool way to display the antlers without the actual head.

    I agree. Less brutal on the eyes than a skull!. Presumably these fell off naturally so no skull to mount.

    Hi.
    I really love the carving! Both my sister in laws Grandfathers were carvers (by hobby) in northern Vermont and this is the type of work these brilliantly talented farmers would produce. Not suggesting the origin of the work but wanted to compliment your beautiful work of art.

    I had a corner shelf with a smaller version of this carved on top. My son is still mad at me for selling it. It was a Black Forest piece.
