It seems like the prevalence of online Estate auctions instead of live estate sales is becoming common. I found this site, it appears to be new and I love some of the jewelry in the auction but I don't know, is online the wave of the future for Estate Sales?

What do you think, is there any good jewelry finds in this auction? I sort of like the idea of not having to fight people to get to items.

    Thanks,
    Kat

    Hello Kat:, & welcome.

    Now....
no matter where you go ...if you are not willing to fight others to get items you want......you will not get those items.

When I said fight, I meant physically. I get overwhelmed easily in crowds because of bad eye sight. If you are talking about a bid battle, I am in.

OK...I understand that.....I hate crowds.....but to bid off the web without touching the item....can be equally as overwhelming.....:jawdrop::jawdrop:.....:)

Yes that is true, but the place is local at least to me, so I can attend the preview, but then I have to deal with people. Its a vicious little circle!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting name, dErBAYz, not sure why they chose it :)

I've used The Saleroom to online bid at B&M auctions but much prefer to be physically present and inspect in person.

Not sure how well the US is served for B&M auctions, here in the UK atm it is pretty good.

So thank you for torturing me over the name. I found a Vintage store on Etsy called DerBayz Vintage and I contacted the owner. The name represents their blended family. Durr (Der) for the youngest daughters last name and Boese (Bayz, thats how it is pronounced) for the new family name. I sort of feel bad about laughing at it now, but now we know. I am the crazy Kat lady, a little to blunt and direct at times. :D I think the auction site is legit and I am going to bid. You can't beat everything starts at $1 and the site doesn't seem to be getting very many bids so I could really clean up for like under $300. :D Is this wrong?

wait to the last 5 minutes......then you'll know...

    what something starts at
    &
    what something ends at......

    2 very different things... !;)

I don't think waiting will matter much because the auction has a soft close, so if I bid in last minutes the lot will be extended. I will watch until the preview.
