Do you have to clap to make it work?

Either that or click your heels three times but you'll have to ask the OP to be sure.

say_it_slowly The worst prison is a closed heart

When I saw the green paint it reminded me of the cabinet in my basement. This hoosier style came out of my husbands great-grandparents farmhouse. The "kitchen" was a tiny room with a woodstove for cooking and this cabinet. We rescued this when the house was about to be sold. Only one room in the house had electricity and I don't think it had running water. There was a spring in the front yard.

Anyway, the cabinet had extensive rodent damage, the paint was missing in places and the black from the woodstove was thick. I repaired and painted the bottom half gray years ago and had the bottom in the kitchen of my last house. I removed all the doors thinking I would paint them and sanded lightly but...well...it's just a junk repository at the moment. It was a tidy workspace for a long time but things got out of hand and neglected.

I just wanted to share the pattern that was original on the green paint as I love it. You can still see what remains on the top part and the doors still have a pattern. It does have a flour bin (left) and the right bottom drawer that's pulled out is zinc lined. There are some tambour doors. (Don't actually remember too much it's been sitting there 25 years)

Isn't Fairy Liquid a British soap product?

:joyful: Love it. Is the non-hand soap product like dish washing liquid? Or is it something harsher than that?

    So blooey knew all along:

For those of you elsewhere, in the US, 'Dawn' is a brand of dish washing liquid.

I remember 'Fairy Soap' when I was growing up .. It was always at the kitchen sink. It was a large bar of hand soap .. I think it was a yellow colour and had the 'baby' on it .. England circa 1940's. ... Joy. :):)

Fairy is one of the few mainstream brands that is worth buying. Way better than the cheapoes.

Ma used Fairy soap on stains before they went in the single tub washer.

And damn you, I now have an earworm.

Fairy soap? Luxury! We had to use lifebouy carbolic and walked barefoot to school 10 miles uphill both ways and got a good hiding with a strap when we came home just for the sake of it ..ah, those were the days!
