Any idea how to tell if it is original?
    Thanks

I went to that link TallCakes provided, and it does not look like the shape is Galle, plus the asian writing throws me off, but I am no expert, that is for sure! http://www.galleartglass.com/galle-vase-shapes/

    Hi,
I can tell you it is a fake. Seven years ago I went to a flea market and this same vase was lying on a table. I stopped and looked it. I asked how much. The guy said 450 but do not hand me 5 dollars looking for change, like the lady just did 10 mins ago. I wanted it for 3 dollars just because I liked the color. I tried to explain to the guy why it was not real. He just was not buying it. Actually if he did sell it to me for 3 bucks I would have smashed it just to prove to him.

Agree, fake. The mark that looks like it starts with a Y instead of a G is a sure sign....... besides the overall appearance.

Thanks. There was another Galle vase( different shape and decoration, I think with peaches or so) but I did not bother to check it as I assumed that it belonged to the same owner. Usually one fake means that all would be fake but on the other hand most collectors have fakes among their authentic pieces.

Yes- its a fake- we got an influx of them about 10 years ago in the UK.
