It looks like2 or possibly 3 of those may be Alexandrite glass.~ Good find!

To be perfectly honest I didn't even pay any attention to that possibility.:oops::oops:
I will have to check them out in the daylight tomorrow since all I have in the house is fluorescent.

BTW I have now sold 3 pieces from the lot for more than twice what I paid for the whole lot. :smug::smug::smug::smug:

    Thanks for that info! :)
It's a thrift connected to a hospital in one of the 'old money' neighborhoods. They get many estate donations. Our GW also gets some pretty amazing estate donations but the 'shopgoodwill' folks in the back room snag most of the best items (at least that which is obvious to them) for their online auction ... for example, they recently had several old $5 and $20 gold coins and a cool Kenetico 7-man clock up for auction.

Too bad the knew what those were!(LOL) I love hospital thrifts when I can find them. I wish we had some old money in this area; alas most of what we get are the new money types who still buy Ikea.

Bit of a hike for me, alas, but that sounds familiar.... I have too many relatives in health-related fields. At least one of them worked in a hospital in Morristown.

Thank you very much. I assure you I won't be any competition for you as I am trying to get rid of things, but in the rare event I find something that interests me, I am certain it won't be anything anyone here collects.

I got about four hours' sleep last night due to a body that wouldn't cooperate. As usually happens on nights like this, I scored this morning. There was a community sale and... bingo. I gave a lady back an old wedding ring and two other old rings (gold) but ended up with these. The silver filligree one may be costume and may be real. The middle one is Victorian turquoise and tiny half pearl. The one with a blue stone was sold as sterling and blue topaz; it's aquamarine and 14k, made before they ruined those stones by heat treating them. The second box has a button cover made to look like an airplane engine, complete with spinning propeller, some Japanese dolly earrings, and a blue enamel pin that's probably pewter. There was quite a bit more too, but nothing earth-shattering. DSCF3859.JPG DSCF3876.JPG
