So they claim . I also think its foolish, and I was being melodramatic with my declaration. Im going to wait and see before I go running around again honestly. I have my elderly mother to think of . But boy do I want to !

We start 'Phase 1' on Monday - schools will remain closed, still no visits to senior care facilities, sports venues and movie theaters remain closed, bars, gyms, barbers/hair salons will remain closed. Elective surgeries resume, some beaches and state parks will reopen, no groups larger than 10, at least 6 feet apart, restaurants can have outdoor seating 6 feet apart, indoors at 25% capacity, and retail stores also at 25% capacity.

Edit: Forgot that libraries and museums can also reopen at limited capacity.

    We'll see how it goes...

Interesting and much more rational list, thanks, Cheryl. Funny thing though, NPR just reported that the governor went to an Orlando hair salon to celebrate the "opening." Did he really do that?

Our county mayor, Jerry Demings (husband of congresswoman Val Demings), invited Governor De Santis here to discuss opening hair salons and barber shops - unless something has changed in the last few hours, that's all it was...

I've resorted to buying some lots on Ebay, but it's not the same. They're going to partially reopen CT on May 20. I figure the local Ill Will will open then. My favorite thrifts...we'll see.

The DH told me that there was an estate sale this weekend a few blocks from me.

I did not go over there to see if it really happened, but I may have to ride down the street to see if there are any signs hung up advertising the sale.

It might be virtual, or appointment-only; a few of those have popped up here in CT this month. None of them were too tempting.

Our golf courses and parks are open. But already too many are showing up with no masks at the beach. It was a sunny warmer day here so I can partially understand the desire to get out. I was out but just for errands. However, they can close things down as fast as they open them if people don't follow the rules. It was nice to see the sun and feel the warmth finally.

Went to Staples as I am running low on bubble wrap and people were lining up there to get in at 10. Brought back bittersweet memories of standing in line at estate sales. Deep sigh....wipes tears from my eyes. LOL

There is an estate sale coming up soon but it is by appt only. I like the guy who runs it and his prices are good, but so far I don't see anything in the photos that appeal to me. Not sure if he is supposed to be doing it. I saw another sale also by appt somewhere and there was the elusive green dot Pyrex bowl in the kitchen. :(

We had a secretive estate sale where the runner texted his customers and all of 12 showed up. This was about a month ago. The neighbors called the police and that ended that. A person I know went and got stuff at great prices... or so she says.

I am not sure if people can actually golf, they may just be able to walk around and not congregate and play.

Today was the last of the citywide spring cleanup pickups that I know of. This last one got me three bags of Scotts fetilizer that is normally over $40/bag, the cheapy guitars, several cast iron pans, some fencing for the garden, bout ten pounds various scrap copper, interesting antique clock, handfuls of useful tools - mostly new, bout 50 nice condition CDs mostly copyright 1988 and probably a few things I'm forgetting. Cost me about $12 in gas.

Still working on this #8 Vollrath with electrolysis. The builup was over 1/8" thick in places and hard as rock.

So when I had just taken these pics I had just changed the water and put in a new anode.

This morning nearly nothing newly loosened?

I had two chargers sitting there. I put the clamps of the one not turned on onto the setup.
