Featured Smelling salts bottle?

Hi all. Wasnt sure where to put this so if its the wrong place please move it mods . I got this online but I couldnt tell you what its made out of . Its got marks but so tiny they are hard to make out. I see "cm" and and anchor and what might be a "q" .1 1/2 inches high,and surprisingly heavy . Silver gilt ? Gold ? Brass ? Any input is always appreciated . Ps...I nade several online purchase and I wont be doing THAT again ! Such rookie mistakes Im ashamed to admit!
sellers pics as I just couldnt get good ones. I figure since I bought it its okay ?

 

Joolies love to see this kind of bling, so no problem at all.
But I can't discern the marks, sorry. Maybe someone else can.

We all make rookie mistakes, johnny. Lord knows I have...I'll get that feeling like I know what I'm doing and then buy something that makes me realize I don't know anything.

 

It's silver, right? Maybe plated with gold? I don't know?

The q is either 1890 or 1915 in Birmingham. I think I also see a faint but possibly upside down lion to the right of the q.

2 lots of what I SWORE was coin silver that wasnt . Not only that,they were clearly marked Rogers and Bros ! I was like "Doh!"

 

I can see that Lion now ! I think ? Thanks for all the answers everyone ,I looked forever and didnt even come close . I do think it might be Charles May as I found one in silver almost exactly like mine . Im so tickled !

It's strange what one's eyes tricks can play!!! Now, if you rotate that image to vertical......one can see the first not as "cm" but as a totem face!! The next down as yes, the anchor, the next am not sure, but the last, as a 'person'(?) either with a bottle in his mouth OR the person playing an instrument (a clarinet maybe?) that kind of curves down & around in this instance!!!! And, NO, I'M NOT TAKING ANYTHING HALLUCINOGENIC!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldnt that be fun ! Its the weight that has me wondering .

 

If you don't have a test kit - you could try the specific gravity/density test if you have a scale that measures in grams, and aren't afraid of immersing it in water...here's a video of how to do it.
