Haven't found or received an ID on this cake plate. Wondering if it is European.
    Appreciate any/all replies and thoughts.

EAPG but I don't know as much about glass as I'd like to.. It's a beauty! :)

I'm sorry antidiem, I'm going to respecfully disagree. Not EAPG.
    Most likely 1920s-30s.

Have you looked through here for the etch. (To be correct, it is probably copper wheel engraved and not etched.)

Thank you for letting me know, Closet. Looks older than depression glass in construction though - what is the pattern? I've not seen that one so thought it to be earlier. No, not seen the link.

I should have put a question mark after EAPG above.

Especially since another look tonight - it doesn't look American.

Thank you Anti and Pat for your replies. I had tried Chatabout in the past but not to good at choosing the appropriate search words. Will give it another shot tho. Found the plate several years ago and doggone, it followed me home.

size and color??? from the single pic can't tell if etch or cutting but does appear to possibly be Elegant Glass, which covers depression era thru 1940s.

I have the worst time searching that site too.
That's why I gave you the link. So you could do it! LOL;)

It is clear (crystal) 10 1/2" x 1 1/4. I had written it down but didn't put it in the message. This old age stuff is getting ridiculous! Thanks for looking TallCakes.

I found this one from Liberty Glass Works that looks like it could be a match. Unfortunately, not many of their etches are documented on the site.

The flash burn and confused background do not do it any favours. A daylight shot or two on a plain neutral background might help.

(((AF))) ~ Trust me when I tell you the flash burn and confused background in my brain didn't help either! I'm doing better now. Healing.

The glass looks like Heisey's Octagon Line#1231. I do not recognize the etch right off.

George, I think you'll find that Heisey's No.1231 octagon has eight sides.

    Looks like eight to me.
