Match Holder?

    Wondering if it is a holder for matches? Also would anyone know the age. It is 6" tall.

    Yes! Just like that one. I knew it had to have some age. They may still make them but probably not out of cast iron anymore.

    The Wilton family started with Susquehanna Castings in the 1890s, started Wilton Products c1935 that closed in the 1980s, started Wilton Brass in the 1950s, and sometime in the 1960s came up with the aluminum product Armetale. The first few years of Wilton Product history Susquehanna Castings made the products and Wilton Products hand painted them. Their novelty items such as this match holder, trivets, etc.. were very popular in the 1940s-1950s.
