5.00 for the little hamper
Got a dab of jewels have taken pictures of yet



I don't usually buy rugs and they're newer but seem super nice?

I shouldnt buy these ivory items...the gold was 1.00 the silver bracelet 5.00
The Hull was 3.00 but hard as McCoy to sell these days

It's titled "Clear Creek Canon" and dated 1899. It is very similar to the Royal Gorge photo that you are thinking of.

 

THe aneroid barometer is about 1900-1920

These mini sewing machines (Betsy Ross & Singer) were $3 each and the German doll was a $1. I got 6 other dolls for a buck each as well, but those are junk. This German one was/is the best of the bunch...

 

Mint and boxed, a similar model was one of my favourite 'toys' when young.

A popgun compared with the lethal weapons you US folk have lying around. :-(

But when the gang is ready to rumble, I have the armoury ready.

 

The doll looks good, 'Nuff... what have you found out about her?

From a quick search, she's an early-20th C. German porcelain piece by: Ernst Heubach.

This is another pretty good one, mint in box, dating to the 1960s, by Marx...

 

The mini-sewing machines are cute. Have you researched them yet? I'm wondering if they were toys or used by adults for simple sewing projects like a hem?

Just a quick search. They are toys. The Betsy Ross dating to the 1940s and the Singer's are 1920s.

James Bond carried a Beretta or a Walther. Very unpatriotic, but the British never made a small automatic pistol.

 

The above quote is 100% false. The early-20th C. German doll is not the best of this bunch.

After doing a bit of research on the other 6 dolls, the first two in the last image are the best of the bunch and appear to be the most value (goodness! I thought they were junk and was about to throw them in the dump bin ).

These first 3 IMO are junk...

1940s Mexican tourist doll, mid-20th C. wooden Pinocchio and a mid-20th C. Japanese jointed porcelain doll.




These turned-out to be good junk...

Two 1950s jointed dolls by Madame Alexander (I think they are Cissy & Ginny, but not 100% sure) and a 1940s or 50s Russian doll by Vogue (not sure who she is).



This $20 vintage toy lot (dolls & sewing machines) is turning-out to be a pretty darn good find/buy.

 

They have a bit of wear, but all appear to be in good working order.

 

Between the flea market and an auction, this is what I came away with today......

1 set of 5heart shaped Mint Julep straw spoons( Didn't know what they were until I got home and researched them)


1 set of 22 kt gold washed and enameled spoons.....( What is this with me and spoons today? I NEVER buy spoons!)



And one Signed Mark Peiser 1973 Vase. After looking into Peiser a little I'm Kinda excited about this piece. Can't track down too much info on this era though, but he is in a lot of museums. The Auction listed it as a " Jupiter" Vase.
