Seems to be some kind of retailers display piece.

Missing some interior dividers? That hole on one side is odd.

It is. Maybe added for something to fit into the cabinet and stick through there?

While you're at it, can we get some dimensions, please?

    Cannot figure out how to edit the full image option. Dementions are:19 1/4 X 20 1/2 X 6 1/2.

    I think you are right.
I've seen that trademark somewhere. Cannot for the life of me think what it is.
I tried time pieces with no luck. I've been looking for T&W Co Inc.

It is very heavy. Solid wood. Holes in back where it looks like it was mounted on a wall. Beveled glass is beautiful. The large hole in the bottom of the left side of the case is a puzzle in it's self. There is a small hole in the bottom of the right side and another in the top left side of the cabinet. I am not sure the two shelves are original.

There seems to be part of a locking or latching mechanism on one edge, but I see no knob on the outside. Is there a corresponding mechanism on the door that we can't see in your pictures?

Which side of the door is hinged (right/left or top/bottom when referring to the first picture)?

There is a lock but no key. What you see is two holes in the case (left side) and if you look closely below those holes, there is a key slot. Apparently two latches protrude out of those holes when the key is turned, and connect to two small brass hooks which are connected to the door. The door hinges are on the right. Opens left to right.

Thanks, that explains it quite well. Maybe it's just me, but it does seem a tad odd to have to use the key in your left hand (since so much of the population is right-handed), but that might be explained by how and where it was hung and what else was around it.

I think the logo is the key. Cannot find it anywhere.

I've been looking too. Not having any clues about what they produced, the search is just too broad.

Maybe Whitall & Tatum Company...? I seriously question this, because I haven't been able to find they ever used a logo W&T Co inside of a shield. They did make tons apothecary / druggist glass items.

This is from an old, long gone (2012) eBay auction, the link is dead, so can't get to the description and there is only one picture available.
