hi there, ive joined because id like some advice about some chairs i have... im hoping you can help me decided what to do, do i try to recover them? sell them as is? how old are they? is it worth getting someone to reupholster them?
i also dont know how to tell what wood they are made from... any help would be appreciated there was some green leather on one of the backs that was original if that helps determine the age?

i really like them but it is such a huge job just trying to get the upholstery off. looks like they have been reupholstered twice already. there was what seems like horses hair in the cushion which i thought maybe i could save and wash but all this is new to me and i dont know if i am wasting my time... but they are the most comfortabe chairs i have ever sat on and sooooo sturdy and look so well made. any help so i could know a bit more about them wiuld be really appreciated.
