Hey everyone---just recently dived into the antique hobby/business with a friend and we came across this very interesting and old bible. If anyone had any info at all I would greatly appreciate it. Please see pictures. Thank you
In general, only early Bibles are worth any money, although sometimes later ones can sell if they have loads of family geneology written in. Later 19th C examples are fairly common, and usually very heavy. By early I mean late 16th, early 17th C.
I see foxing on the pages which is not good. Looks like possibly pages are loose (I think I see pages sticking out at the top) The cover is worn. These are all things that bring the price value down in old books. On the plus side, this probably has steel engravings and is leather bound. I'm in CA and would have this priced in the $100. range and accept offers. There are two listed on abebooks. You can see the wide range of price. It will take the right buyer. https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Se...ff&sortby=1&tn=Family+Bible&recentlyadded=all
