Featured Long Necklace - Is it Jade?

This one is a bit if a puzzle for me. Seller listed it as glass. It doesn’t feel or look of glass to me. I am guessing a stone of some type perhaps some Jade? I don’t own any jade to make a comparison.

The length is opera style. No clasp, this slips over the head. No marks on the chain but it looks like silver to me and I’ll test it soon. The pearls feel like real little seed pearls. The ones around the pendant are strung together by very very thin strands of something. There is no give and I’m afraid of tugging too much to try and see the strand better. Any thoughts appreciated.

Thats what evelyb30 said too. I just looked up peking glass and I can see it as well now. Maybe the pearls are little glass ones too? I tried the tooth test and they didn’t feel smooth.

 

Undoubtfully glass, the swirls/streaks/spots of color, plus the "glow" of it are the clues.

Nicely made, the pearl bands alternating with the glass beads are a really nice detail.

 

@BMRT please can we see the whole necklace?. I love glass beads, especially unusual ones.

Love the arrangement at the bottom. On a black top it would look fab.

This looks like Art Deco costume jewelry to me.
I agree that it is glass.
I can see it worn on a fashionable flapper girl.
