Newby, hi!

    Hi, all. :)

    I'm not a super experienced antiquer, but my husband and I woodwork, so I have enough understanding to recognize well-made pieces.

    I like to collect furniture to refinish, and occasionally come across a treasure. I research heavily before potentially ruining a valuable historic piece.

    I've come across two blocks on two pieces in the research department. One is a beautiful hand-carved peacock chest, and the other an 1857 Luger furniture buffet.

    I can't find any information on the former, and no approximate value on the latter. I'd love and appreciate your help!!
