Nice! I'm glad somebody found something. I found more work - got an email from my sister asking for more N95 cover masks. I spent this evening cutting and pinning.

    Thanks Leslie,
I have acid free mounting board and deep enough recessed frames available which will give the required gap so the pieces aren’t squashed against the glass. Thanks again:)

I think I promised to put these up once I opened the box. (washed my hands 3 times afterward just to be safe) I got two lots by mail this week. One was a big jewelry lot for not a huge pile of money. I took a picture of just the pearls and precious metal. The surprises were some 14k and pearl earrings (kinda little but who cares) and a small 14k white gold box chain. The Siam sterling and the Virginia enamel bracelet I'd figured on. The butterfly has marks I can't read; I'll wait until I know for sure these are safe before snapping a picture of the mark.

The second box I bought for two items, and there may be a bonus. The cuff links just say Made in USA, but the bronze key? Let's see if anyone guesses why I wanted it and where it's from. (Greg probably has the best shot) There's a token holder too for trolley and later bus tokens. The other goodie is the Singer measuring tape; my late uncle worked for Singer Sewing Machines. It's going to be a Christmas present for a cousin.

Here’s the latest batch: 83EABDCC-34C4-4B1E-A79B-ED2DD64AEA73.jpeg A few of these have already ended up in the jewelry forum. Shell sweater guard, shell brooch and shell earrings are all marked sterling.

2FF5DF2F-BCD5-47AF-9462-9A7713A7EBE0.jpeg This ring which I can’t decide if it’s a modern make inspired by older designs. Center tested positive for diamond. Only mark is 10k.

5D1BC6DD-AFAA-4765-9E89-47978BA6784E.jpeg This one I’ll post more about in Jewelry. Brooch, only mark is sterling.

37CB06E1-617A-4277-BE72-B5BA28A13BFE.jpeg This one is going in the forum too. Sold as glass but it doesn’t feel like it.

    Hi,
The key looks to be for a small clock. The copper key in the center of the picture looks like a radiator key to drain out air from a water system.

    Hi Terry,
Looking at those spark plugs reminds me of my FIL. When he was moving down here I helped carry up the basement stairs. FIVE spark plug cleaning machines!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two were the size of refrigerators.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

It is for an old railroad lock & they usually have the railroad's name/letters on the round top portion. I have one around here some place, but eBay won't let you sell them there anymore ever since 911.

That 2nd lot looks to have several nice little goodies. Just curious, was that one of those "junk drawer lots"?

Yep. It's a Jersey Central key. They don't go cheap when you can sell them, but it's NFS. I have no idea why Ebay thinks they're dangerous; the locks all got melted in a WWII scrap drive! (LOL) An 80+ year old key to a lock that hasn't existed in 75 years is dangerous....

That jade-looking necklace is definitely glass. The pearls are faux and that bottom dangle bead is "peking glass" or "dragon's egg". That 10k ring is probably legit; I don't think they reproduced those in precious metal.

The copper one probably is. It cranks something for certain and it's too big for a clock. I was after the bronze one. That Hopalong Cassidy pin may be good too, but only if it's original.

On it! I’m cleaning up the outside and surface a bit. It’s pretty nasty.

Wow, great finds! I am trying to resist the urge to online buy anything but necessities, but the jewelry finds are wonderful. My whole house is furnished with finds, and I may post some.
