I'm not overly fond of Mickey's butt, truth be told. Brad's cat improves every picture she's in; just ask the cat! Both of my kitties are over the rainbow bridge now, and I'm having major fur withdrawal. I just about bought a fake fur coat today because it fit, I need a nice coat, and it doesn't need a litter box.(LOL) It also wasn't as warm as it looked and made me feel like I was wearing a cat. These earrings aren't something I found today; they were in my stash and I'd forgotten I had them. Sterling with blue topaz and 18k accents - four bucks at a local thrift. Not old, but at that price why not.

Get a flat cat. Most of the real cats ignore it but it freaks out a few......

I much prefer the self-propelled variety that sheds on everything.

By its demeanor, I would have thought it was earlier. Patented AUG 26 1941.

Hi everyone! Hope folks are having a nice season full of finds and Holiday sales! We took this weekend off and headed down to Savannah, Georgia... we wanted to see what it looks like decorated at Christmas. We got in late last night and really don't know yet, but will be out and about soon. This morning, I've been busy :) I even got my other half to help me - which only happens on pickin' emergencies!

When driving down here, we were checking 'what to do' this weekend and saw this was happening. OH MY. It turns out, it is happening literally across the street from our hotel.

As this is a vacation and he agreed to help, I didn't want to drive him nuts and be there at 7:30, but we arrived at about 8:30. The thing is huge, about the size of a football field. Lots had sold, but still, I walked out with some great things after an hour and I appreciate his help. I don't have the ability for pics, but I found:

One antique R.C. Versailles Cup and Saucer and one early Belleek Cup and Saucer - $5.00 each. I left a few others, but think I got the two best.

A nice signed vintage Austrian enamelware trinket dish. I found the artist earlier, but forgot it already. Paid .50, seems the average price is about $30.00.

Two different platters for $5.00 each. One is a Portmeirion Welsh Dresser 14'' Oval Steak Platter, which is a nice find. Also a large platter from Royal Worcester. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the set of dishes I purchased ($16.50) - vintage and European - and it is packed and on the bottom of everything. Includes platters, the gravy boat, etc. Excellent shape.

Some misc. 'bread and butter items'. New Starbucks mugs, some out of stock Wedgwood mugs, one of the Kaj Franck Arabia cat pitchers ($3.50) - this has some minor damage, but will still make some nice profit. I saw this across the table and leaped like a ballerina. There may be a few other small things, but I just wanted to share my unexpected fun morning with the gang. Supposedly I get to go a thrift or two on this trip as well. I'm just playing it cool... :joyful::happy:

We love Savannah and it is one of the areas on our 'relocate' list. We are ready to move (our final move - for us) and have started to seriously look. The spouse will transfer his job, so we have to wait until a matching position comes available in an area we like. Could be very quick or a year or two.

    Everyone eat too many cookies.
