I couldn't turn anything up, but I like it. Sort of a primitive Hopper-esque piece. I like looking at it.

I am getting Trujillo, Peru as the location when I try searching the words on the left of the label.

 

You're right. Written in Spanish, not Portuguese (despite artist's Portuguese surname.)

Yes Hopper! I was trying to figure out what it reminded me of
It also makes me think of Gaugin a little bit.
There is also an Efron Saldana (Colombian) and Mateo (Mexico), both really nice work and both completely different signatures. Your signature looks like the artist is a lefty.
