Old Candle Snuffer with Cool Mark?

Hey, so we’re still getting through a bunch of stuff we got in a lot (social distancing means we gotta do something!) and found this kind of cool candle snuffer. I know it’s probably worthless but I could t find those marks anywhere. We also live in Montana and for some reason the eagle/bird seemed nifty for the region. Any idea what it could be or who made it?

 

Looks like the metal is pewter.
Probably something not too old. So possibly look at pewter souvenir companies.

Just an idea.
I don't really know.

 

That does look like fun. But who uses a candle snuffer these days?

 

I do, much less mess than blowing the candle out and spreading drops of wax all over the place

 

Good! the only candles I've used recently are the kind that come within a glass. So I forget...

My old dining room chandelier had 18 candles on it. I used to brag that my electric bill was only 12 dollars a month but my candle bill was 18 dollars a month.

Yeah the pewter is correct; just didn’t recognize the marks. I dunno, maybe it’s just cause we’re in Montana but the marks had a Native American feel to them.

 

Is the bottom one a "P"?
I think most Native American items are done in silver. Not sure they work in pewter, but I could be wrong. That's not an area I know a lot about.

 

I do. I have an antique one that came with the house (family home built in 1870) and I have a modern one. I love having candles with dinner or sometimes just because. I have tabletop candlesticks and sconces.
