Eh, I knew antique dealers back in the day who kept their salt, miniature, and snuff spoons under the counter so they wouldn't end up being used by coke-heads, never understood why they'd turn away sales from folks with more money than sense - and I miss those cute little McDonald's coffee stirrers that ending up becoming disposable coke spoons...

You had to have been there, and been a partier. It was EVERYWHERE . My pot head friends used to gripe they couldnt find any weed, but coke was on every corner . :)
Now if I did any,my heart would explode and Id drop dead ! Ah,glorious misspent youth.

    So to re-cap,

Everyone agrees it is a spoon

All stating, for a drug they never used, or will admit to.

Some say Made in India, Possibly 1980's

    Stone is probably sodalite, maybe.

Appears to be hand made. oh that was me.

And Johnnycb09 must be wealthy because he only uses Tiffany coke spoons

916Bulldogs, I am SO not knowledgeable on the subject!

However, back in the late 1970's, in my first "real" job out of grad school, I worked for a firm whose management was all up on the 10th floor of a highrise in DC. I had been hired as manager of the peons down on 3...

It took me FOREVER to figure out why every single one of those 10th floor execs was always sniffling - it was like every one of them had a perpetual cold or hay fever or something!

One day, I was going up to see the "big boss" on 10, and I started to walk into his office just as he was sniffing something off his desk. It was as if the light bulb in my head went on.

OMG, thought I... He's DOING DRUGS!

    Well, DUH!

I backed out of his office & stood in the hall, my back flat against the wall, taking deep, deep breaths. He called my name , then added, "Hey, what's the matter? Where'd you go?"

It all came to me at once... Not just the sniffling, but even why the execs all teased me every time I wore the little Lunt silver spoon pin I'd had since I was a kid.

I may have been very bright and well-educated, but, boy, was I naïve!

Thankfully I was a bit earlier than that drug era. The drugs of my high school & college era were smoking and drinking beer. When the '60s and '70s came along we were too busy starting a family, buying a house and hopefully succeeding in business to have time and money for tripping. I am so thankful not to have had the temptations of later generations during the impressionable years. No doubt I would have succumbed to experimenting with them.
