Found 8 of these 2.5" tall glasses in that "box under the basement stairs". Obviously designed for measuring liquids. I found it interesting that not only is it incremented in Oz and ML and Tablespoons and Teaspoons, there is an indicator for Dessert (= 2 teaspoons).

No seams, slightly concave bottom with "steps" from the rim in. No markings (Who is not important). The graduated measure indicators are pressed into the glass and can be felt on the INSIDE.

Does the Dessert Spoon measure give any indication of age? And can you think of a better "name" for them? Or is Dosing Glass about the best?

    Thanks!

I remember as recently as the '70s many bottles came with these packaged over the spout. Funny that more aren't still seen.

I sold one a few years ago that had a specific pharmacy name on it for $43. I had one with a more vague "hospital import corp" on it that didn't sell for $6.99 so I'd guess a plain one might be a hard go. But then it was in 2013 so who knows?

What I did want to pass on is a link to the page of the guy who bought my "good" cup. I thought it might give some better verbiage than I can.

My my! Very interesting! Thanks for the links. The irony with these is that I just discovered that they fit perfectly as replacements on a drinks dispenser (pump type) that I have. Regular shot glasses don't fit, but these do. As they are not "valuable" I may just keep them............oh, Lord, that means I keep the Drinks dispenser as well...........and here I was all ready to part with it because a) I don't need it and b) it has no glasses........................looks like chilled vodka shots at my next soiree..........

If they cannot be felt on the outside, then they were cut into the plunger, which would be more accurate, in any case. Once pressed, the markings would be on the inside of the glass only.
