I love such things and probably would've grabbed it up.
I have a beautiful, large, framed Spirit of St. Louis one, surely from that era.
Almost missed it as it was very low on the wall as I exited an antique shop as they were closing.
Sorry...it's packed away so no photos for you.
I have a friend with a large Statue of Liberty one.

50th anniversary of king George the v and queen Elizabeth the 2nd i believe, i have a few things with that on it .

Well, I'm confused. George V wasn't married to an Elizabeth (his wife was Princess Victoria Mary, called "May".) He did not live long enough to be married to her for 50 years nor was he on the throne for 50 years (about 26 actually, 1910 - 1936.)

If this were done for Elizabeth II's 50th anniversary on the throne that would have been back in 2002 or 3, right? It's hard for me to make any connection to her without so much as a ER incorporated into the design. Don't you think that should be there?

My first guess would be Victoria's golden jubilee, but it doesn't look old enough.

Who makes a commemorative 'royal' doily without any reference to the monarch? Looks like 50th anniversary to me too, with the expected bells, typical symbolism for weddings and aniversaries...

so i took your advice and opened it to look at the back ,and the last person to frame it put the slack adjusters in upside down so it broke the glass lol this is what i found no name or marks , but it looks even better in the new frame i had for it lol

 

i think they look like watermark crowns from that era

I am NOT a needlework/fabric person, but in the photo the threads appear to be synthetic. Unless they are silk......................

 

I agree with others that this was probably a nice gift made for mom & dad's anniversary. It doesn't look any older than around 1960's to me but I am no expert.
I would think if it were made for some type of royalty, it would have been made of a different type of lace. An exquisite lace like Brussels lace or Bobbin lace, Point de gaze, etc., not crochet lace. Crochet lace is a hand made lace, but not a difficult lace to make like others.
