Hi all, picked this up today because I fell instantly in love! I was so gratified to see it was much brighter than I thought when I took it out of the frame. Its clearly signed " dean" but after hours of searching I got zip. Its 8x10 ,Im guessing watercolor/gouache ? Any input is appreciated.

The basic background looks airbrushed. Her hair looks like it was touched up with pen, but she looks brushed.

    Wait for other opinions.

It's a neat picture. I would have bought it also.

Looks like the kind of airbrushed stencil watercolor produced by companies like Newman Decor, I.B. Fischer Co., Bernard Picture, Harris Picture. Their decorator piece paintings were signed with a number of different names. It was factory art but the labels extolled them as original watercolors.

Moreotherstuff what do the factory labels look like? So if you have an antique painting with a label on back it's an automatic factory art?

    No.
I think later, because you don't see her face, the style of nude, fairy wings, and the oval matting.

I'm confused here I have seen paintings that have labels in them before on antique roadshow and they have turned out to be originals

Labels can mean lots of different things. As used by Bernard pictures, they were part of the sales promotion.

Here's a Bernard picture and its label:
