^This is the bottle in question. It was strangely bequeathed to my elderly mother by a very elderly lady. Mother would like to know if it is valuable and if it is drinkable. LOL

It is labelled in ounces so it is older than 1976.

    Thats all I got.

    (emphasis added)

Just curious but . . . was your mother a baker of fruitcakes at Christmas? Did she routinely give some of those fruitcakes to friends (such as the one who bequeathed this to your mother)? Perhaps it was the deceased lady's last attempt at complimenting your mother on her fruitcakes. ;)

Do you mean that the very elderly lady had a written will which went through probate and which left that bottle of cherry whiskey to your mother?

Oh how I would love to read the written "notice/letter" to your mother that the estate attorney(s) sent out for that "bequest." I take it that the bottle was still sealed and full when your mother received it.

Yes, it is still full and sealed. It was written in the will and there were no fruitcakes involved...just a very strange bequest. It must have been over 25 years ago. The executor of the will (another elderly lady) was our next door neighbour at the time.

Weird... You have to be from...or lie...about being from O Ca Na Da to enter their site.... But yet....... A story about George Washington and the cherry tree. He was Canadian then? :p

Apparently they don't want you to know their history as the usual 'About' or 'About us' doesn't exist on their site. :p

I doubt it's valuable , but if Whisky...is Whiskey...then it still should be very drinkable.

    I see it says 25.8%.....so that's not a flavoured Whiskey......more of a Liqueur .....still , likely drinkable.
