Bonjour! Last Monday I went antique shopping with a friend and we stumbled upon this amazing Bridge Table. First of all I'm very sorry I don't have better pictures yet, but at the moment I can't reach the place I make photo's of bigger objects. Sooo a quick checklist: 1.The plating on the legs is copper. 2.I can't find a thing about the maker or the origin. 3.The padding on the cup space and on the table is Leather. 4.All screws are flat heads. 5.It is very pretty. 6.Bridging is very complicated. 7.I don't know what kind of timber they used. 8.Found in the Netherlands, made in Belgium. For everyone that will help me on this journey: I love you! Better pictures will follow soon.
I am far from an expert but I would guess the wood to be oak. Stay tuned, people much better than me will be along
Not sure what this means, but if you are talking about the underside structure of this table, please take some photographs to show us how it is braced. Detail shots will be very helpful too. I don't see a shot of a screw head? I'm sorry, I don't recognize the wood, looks to have a lot of stain on it. Doesn't really ever look to have been refinished though. I really like this table. Hang on please, let me some of the furniture experts weigh in on it.
Haha I'm sorry, just a little joke about the game played on the table. It has a lot of rules! I just got my camera and I'm heading home in around 2 hours, so I will upload an album of all details. Including close ups.
My Whiskey glasses fit perfect in the holes of the table, and a good round of Blackjack will make this table perfect for saturday night. But I'm planning to sell it for the right offer, it doesn't match my current collection.
