Some of Saturday's finds. I hit three estate sales yesterday. Two dry holes and ...paydirt. I started out with a small pile and asked the total - $40. It sounded pretty fair, so the lady held the pile for me and I kept looking and added a few more pieces. Hit the ladies room, permission granted, and added earrings. New total - $20. I didn't argue; I just took my booty and skedaddled.(LOL) These two are real cameos, gold-filled.

Delicate 10k and amethyst pendant. It's under 2 inches long and doesn't weigh much, but at the price I didn't pay I'm not arguing.

I love those cameos, especially the work on the one on the left!!!!

I hit that what I thought would be a QVC/HSN estate sale.... it started at 9 a.m., I got there at 8:10 a.m., I was 14th in line. Not much jewelry, but it was all $4 a piece. I got this, my favorite find, although there is a chip on one piece and one bead is missing (see upper right)- Venetian aventurine in a darker green I have not seen before:
    Murano 1.jpg
The house was LOADED, but not much jewelry.... got a few other things, the lady had sooooo many clothes, purses, hats, perfumes (missed them), scarves, fur coats, linens, oriental rugs, Chinese artifacts..... the full basement was packed with every holiday decoration you could imagine.

I got this at a local thrift, sterling Mikimoto, $3 but it was 20% off for the over 55 crowd, so I got it for $2.40.

Wow, great finds Anund. Love the "remarks".

Marko, I haven't seen that green color in a Venetian necklace either. Unusual and gorgeous! Nice finds!

More from the barn on the farm clearance.

I found a camera gadget bag with 60`s 70`s camera equipment in and then found this Minox C Subminiature espionage camera, made in Germany, a favorite used by CIA, MI5, Stazi and KGB.

I have friends who buy at storage lot auctions. They've found money, silver, and jewelry. And another friend bought a table lot of books. Turned out one was for hiding money like your can. It had several hundred dollars in it.

This is why I like to say this job is like gambling. We're all waiting for that big score.
