Here are my round up's for today. I bought a jug that looks like its got some age to it probably early 1900s or possibly earlier I'm sure somebody will tell me if they recognize it. Only 2 pounds paid. I will use this jug in my Victorian bedroom as a drinking water jug which will go on my bedside table. I'm giving it a good sterilizing and good clean before I use it.

I also bought some very old books from the 1930s and older, I had a gap on my book shelf and needed a few more old books to fill the space plus some gems inside. 80 pence paid for each book.

Recent finds:
Silver and enamel clips. They are a dead-ringer for a bracelet I already own but these have some funky marks on the back my bracelet does not.

A cameo

Unmarked egg but I’m positive this is silver if not sterling

Marked “silver” on the back. Pendant/brooch piece with dark mottled purple enamel

Cameo pendant marked sterling. Feels like an older piece because of the details.

Teeny weenie sterling violin pin

Rings marked 925

Pearl lavaliere, chain marked 14k and pendant reads “10k H”

No marks, seed pearls in a brooch star and pin. Purple-pink circle pin, Crystal pin and coral rose pin.

 

nice picking.....the 1st cameo.....gold surround ??? it's interesting !!!

 

Tested positive to 18k. No marks at all.

 

the cameo is nice but the housing has me all hot and bothered !!! Sweeet!

 

LOVE those stickpins ! I actively look for those but never ever find any worth buying. A few pieces from the backlog...
Normally wouldnt buy something like this,but the fact it was in perfect condition sold me

Great idea! I was going to say it looked as if someone took the weight of the world off of his shoulders...why not replace that stress with some beautiful glass?

 

Ive got my eye out for a globe of some sort,preferably glass . Great minds.. !

 

I think Atlas had a clock once.

 

He probably got rid of it after he retired...who needs one? That's a stressor, too.

 

I didnt even know it was Atlas ! I do believe you are correct. Now I NEED one of those magnifying clocks !
