Artist ID, cat painting, Asian signature?

Not something I'd hang, but I can see the appeal. That cat looks like mine when I won't let her OUT at night to play with the mice ...and the coyotes.

Hi! I too was trying to locate some information on the artist shown in the beginning of this string. I could find nothing. I did however, buy three of these yesterday at a online sale. The man bought them at an estate sales years ago and his wife hated them and they were showed in and forgotten in a storage unit. I bought 3 for $20. I absolutely love them I must say! I smile when I see them. One - the largest needs restoring and I have done this before so I will begin that this weekend. I don't care that they are aged and or a little damaged - this totally irritated, drunk, indignant cats make me smile. I thought I would share the pics.... I love my cats paintings and would even love to have had the one above!

All I've found (paintings) by Googling the former is this auction listing from 2009 at Bunte Auction Services, inc.

no photo available ... no price ... sorry, not much help, huh?

 

Has to be the same person. No one else would paint drunk cats.

 

You know the more I look at these, the more I think there was a line of greeting cards out with these cats. Anyone else remember?

Thank you! Yes 48 hours up finally took over and with the aid of ice cream I slept nine hours My Avatar is Bella - she is a 30 pound Maine Coon mix I rescued. Just a baby still.... I rescued with the intent to foster (I have 3 more) and fell in love. My husband says enough already. I cant wait to restore these paintings and hang them before he returns from his business trip. I mean drunk, smoking cats? He will just love them, right?
I don't know about the cards Cluttered but my friend swears that there was a movie short with these cats.... I don't remember at all. I just love them. I wish I had more.

What a great help with decifering the signature and what an odd signature it is....isn't it?!
I haven't purchased the painting I inquired about. I really like it but money is tight right now so I was really hoping to identify the artist first. Although I may take a ride by there this weekend and see if she still has it and perhaps make an offer.
