Help identifying sideboard

Hi,
I saw this sideboard online at a local antique shop and I called about it, but it unfortunately sold. I'm trying to identify it and find one very similar to it. The description said French Renaissance circa 1900s. I don't know my antiques too great, but I fell in love with this piece. It was priced at $1300 which seemed really reasonable to me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

 

So I take it you never saw it in person?

Just from the picture, it looks either, refinished to a lighter color, or it is newer in an older style. The drawer pulls bother me, but I'm not the furniture expert.

It would have been interesting to see the inside wood.

your not . I immediately thought it was a new piece in an old style . It just doesnt have the look of age to it .
Note to self ... Put your darn glasses on before commenting on age ! It is much older than I thought .

 

European furniture is not my forte'. That said, this looks about right to me for very early 20th century. Hard to say for sure without more detailed pics. I also think they got the style right. Price would be high in my neck of the woods but it is a very nice piece and you couldn't buy anything new of that quality for the money.
