I'm going to an auction in a couple of hours, and this bowl along with the white/multi color to its left) is intriguing. I thought perhaps Steuben but haven't been able to find an exact match. I don't have dimensions but it looks large, and you can see the ground and polished pontil.
    Thanks for your responses!

I don't know about your bowls but all the photos are showing for me (assuming you posted the same one three times).

Yes, they're showing now. Maybe my hosting site was down when I posted?

Yeah, but I think there's a name for it, though it totally escapes me at the moment.

Fish scale might be the word you are looking for regarding the large bowl. Can't help on maker though. I also love the one on the left. Czech confetti?

Among US glass manufacturers, Fry and Steuben come to mind. If I were to guess, I'd put that bowl with the black threading to Fry's doorstep. But that's just a guess. I see it has a ground pontil mark.

Thanks for all your replies. Went to the auction and bought the bowl! I also did a little more research and Steuben did bowls with diamond optic, crimped rim, and threading, but I can't find one without a foot rim. There's a closed Skinner auction with one in green that may be the same, but their photo doesn't show the bottom. I've emailed the Carder Steuben site and hope I'll hear back.

Did you end up with the confetti bowl?

Yes, I got it. Want to hear a weird story? I googled Czech Confetti Glass, looked at Images, and there was what looked like the same type bowl. So I went to the Ebay link, and looked at the closed listing. Guess what? It's the EXACT same bowl I bought! The one I bought has the exact same "pot stone" in the same spot and the exact same rim chip! I'm wondering how the bowl got from Maryland to a very country auction in SC. Here's the link:

Boy, I didn't see that coming! Hope you got it for a much better price than what they were asking on eBay.

    I paid $7.50. I don't think I'll try to resell it, though.
There's a fellow from Maryland that regularly takes things to this auction. I believe he gets most of his stuff from Crumpton in Delaware. Perhaps that's how this piece made its way here.

Good old Crumpton! Used to travel from IL with a load of refinished Victorian furniture to sell to dealers on the East coast. If anything didn't sell, we would take it to Crumpton to sell. While there, we would load up on primitives and other things that were more expensive back home. Always got a vacation and a tax write off in the process. I can taste those blue crabs, littlenecks, and smell that salt air right now as I type this. Oh, to be young and crazy again!

We've never been to Crumpton but I've always wanted to go. Our daughter lives in DC, and when we visit, we try to go to a couple of local auctions and hit the thrifts. I keep saying we need to go to Crumpton--maybe one day we'll make it. We went to Brimfield this summer for the first time. It was great, but I don't think we'll be going again any time soon. Four days of driving (2 up and to 2 back), and the traffic from DC all the way up to Springfield was killer. And the tolls - about $100 each way. We're not getting any younger, either!

It has been at least 25 years since I have been to Crumpton. I don't know if it is anything like it used to be but every auction there was an entire field of furniture, row after row. They would line it up and travel up and down in a golf cart to auction it. If the stuff was junky, the weather was bad, or a disinterested crowd, they would say everything between me and joe for one money. This might include 15-20 pieces of furniture sometimes. Meanwhile a whole other auction of smalls is going on in the building.

People used to arrive with semi's and drop off stuff. We always loaded to the brim when we went. Good things could bring good money. There was early American Sheraton style buffet in horrible condition that brought over 10K one time. It is not a place for the timid or uninformed.

Yes, and the auction where I bought these pieces operates the same way, except they do the field first and the inside later. Back in the early 2000s when Ebay was going strong and PGP prices were higher, the auctioneers would go to Crumpton to buy and they'd have 3 fields that would go all day (sometimes till almost midnight) and run the inside simultaneously. There are lots of auctions run this way in our area.
We're fortunate that there are auctions all around us. Within a 100 mile radius, there are at least 10 a day Mon-Thurs, and Fri-Sat there are usually 25-50 per day. The problem is, good stuff is still hard to find. We used to go auctions at least twice a week, but now we go maybe once a month. The quality just isn't there, and the market for run-of-the-mill stuff isn't there.
